Our F1 in Schools car is built with a clear goal: to minimize drag while maximizing stability and speed. The design features a sharp, tapered nose for efficient airflow, sculpted side pods to manage turbulence, and a smooth, sloping body that guides air seamlessly toward the rear. Every curve and edge was carefully engineered in Fusion 360 to reduce aerodynamic resistance and enhance thrust efficiency. The result is a sleek, aggressive profile that balances engineering functionality with cutting-edge aesthetics.
Key aerodynamic components include a low-drag front wing, flush wheel surrounds, and a raised rear wing to stabilize the car during its high-speed launch. The body narrows strategically toward the rear, reducing wake and improving straight-line speed. We also focused on maintaining symmetry and balance to ensure the car runs true down the track without veering. The integration of lightweight materials and optimized geometry helps minimize mass while maintaining the necessary strength for the CO₂ cartridge propulsion system.
The car features a striking dark body paired with bold red and white accents, giving it a clean yet powerful visual identity. The rear wing and nose cone not only serve aerodynamic purposes but also add a sense of motion and energy, even when the car is at rest. Our final STL model is fully optimized for CNC or 3D manufacturing, ensuring both precision and consistency in production. This car isn't just built to compete—it's designed to stand out, on the track and beyond.
